Dear Mike,
I would like to thank yourself and Aviationinterviews.com for your generous support of the students of SIU Aviation. For as long as I have been a student here, you have been paying it forward to the younger generation of aviation professionals. Thanks to your scholarship, I will be able to take AF304, and gain valuable multi time that will help advance my career after I graduate. I could not have done it without you. Thanks again for your generous support! I'll do my best to "pay it forward" to the next people that need it.

Taylor Breum

Joshua Mech received a $1,000 scholarship

(Email from Joshua):
Mike,
I cannot even to begin to describe how grateful I am to receive a Aviationinterviews.com scholarship this year. Learning how to fly is an expensive dream to follow and I am amazed by how much you have given back to SIU's Aviation program in the past and present making flying more affordable for students. Your generosity last night and in years past has inspired me to someday give back to Aviation students and help make flying a more affordable dream. With this scholarship I hope to be able to begin training for my Multi-Engine Instructor certificate and or to help pay for living expenses on an internship next semester at a major airline like United, Delta, or American.
I also want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to interview for the scholarship. Your interview last week was the first of many interviews I have this semester for either jobs or internships. Going through your interview and using your website are great tools that will help me prepare interviews down the road.
I look forward to staying in touch and seeing you next year.
Thank you so much.

Sincerely,
Joshua Mech

Angela Stearn received a $1,000 scholarship

(Email from Angela):
Dear Mike,
Once again you and the awesome patrons of AviationInterviews.com have aided me in accomplishing my aviation goals. With the high stress that affording college and flight brings, receiving this scholarship is not only and honor, but also a sigh of relief. This scholarship will go towards finishing my multi-engine rating and completing my associates degree in flight. Your willingness to give back provides an example of how close our aviation family really is. It gives me great confidence for my future, knowing I will always have this family to rely on for support. I am one step closer to flying those F-18's for the Navy and I have you to thank for that! So once more thank you and I hope to be in touch with you again soon!

Friendly Skies,
Angela Stearn

Peter Popovich received a $1,000 scholarship

(Email from Peter):
Mike,
I want to start by saying that the overwhelming joy and honor of being selected for this scholarship has taken my motivation to new heights. For the second year in a row I had the great privilege of sitting down with you and your family to interview for this scholarship. It is because of this that I will finally be able to obtain my multi-engine rating I've longed for since I started flying. Anyone pursuing a career in aviation understands the financial burden and sacrifices necessary to succeed; however, those who make it will tell you it was worth every effort. I truly believe what makes aviation so great is that kind-hearted people such as yourselves take the time out of your busy schedules to help out young aviators like myself and others. I am patiently awaiting the day I can post my own airline interview gouge on your website. Thank you again for everything you have done for me.

Sincerely,
Peter Popovich

Robert Hutchinson received a $1,000 scholarship
David Bias received a $1,000 scholarship

(Email from David):
Mike,
I want to thank you for selecting me as a recipient of the 2012 AviationInterviews.com scholarship. This scholarship assisted me in paying for my Certified Flight Instructor course which will allow me to build on my flight education. The flight instructor course will not only allow me to pass on my knowledge to others but also assist me in perfecting my skills as an aviation professional.
Mike, you helped to fund my education as well as fund my goals and dreams. Without you and your willingness to give I would not be as far along in my journey to an aviation career as I am today. You and your family are so remarkable for all that you do and provide within the aviation industry and within education. You and your family are not only a blessing; you also serve as a role model and image for all of us to copy. Your action of paying it forward is evidence of how important it is to do so. With every advancement in my education and career I have you to thank for acting as a catalyst to my dreams and success. I am very grateful for all that you do and I can’t wait to reach a point in my life where I can give to others like you have done for me.

Sincerely and with great gratitude
David Bias

James Jenkins received a $1,000 scholarship

(Email from Jimmy):
Mike,
It was an honor to be chosen as a recipient of an AviationInterviews.com scholarship this year. I cannot stress how much this scholarship will help me with my education here at SIU. After becoming a Saluki I have heard quite a bit about you, your company, and how much AviationInterviews.com does for the program and students here. I hope to be able to use my scholarship towards paying my expenses while on an internship this summer (2013).
These scholarships offered to SIU students have given people multiple opportunities to find success in the industry in all aspects of aviation. I’m particularly impressed with the interview process offered by applying to this scholarship. It gave me insight and practice into the inner workings of the interviewing process I hope to take part in the near future. Practice makes perfect. I’m looking forward to keeping in touch with you and your family. I also hope to be able to pay it forward in the near future like you have been able to for so many students.

Keep the shiny side up,
Jimmy Jenkins
